AIMM’s day-to-day governance is organized as four concentric rings of responsibility. Each ring sits inside the next: Leadership at the core, Voting Rights around them, Governance-approvers around that, and Contributors forming the outermost ring. Responsibility flows outward — each ring depends on the ring inside it staying accountable to what the org actually is.

These four rings are AIMM’s permanent operating structure, separate from AIMM’s legal structure — see “AIMM’s legal structure today” below.

Leadership — the inner ring

Leadership holds the org’s core accountability: setting and protecting AIMM’s mission and strategy, safeguarding AIMM’s most sensitive records, and being accountable for the movement as a whole. That includes being the public face and promoters of the organization, and managing AIMM’s relationships with its donors.

Leadership is the final backstop for anything that represents AIMM publicly — nothing ships under the org’s name without Leadership’s accountability behind it.

Voting Rights — a governance voice without full access

People with Voting Rights can weigh in on AIMM’s governance decisions — with enough visibility to know what they’re voting on — without holding Leadership’s full access to the organization’s most sensitive records. This ring exists to extend a real governance voice to trusted people without requiring them to carry everything Leadership carries.

Governance-approvers — the third ring

Governance-approvers manage contributions day to day: reviewing and merging the work contributors propose, and connecting contributors with the resources they need to support the organization’s work.

They’re the gatekeepers for quality, consistency, and integrity in how AIMM actually runs — the ring that turns strategy and contributor effort into work that’s ready to reach the public.

Contributors — the outer ring

Contributors contribute to executing, sharing, and advocating for AIMM’s mission and strategy — bringing real solutions to bear on the communities, individuals, and families the org exists to serve as those solutions become available.

Contributors also bring their own work, ideas, and intellectual property to the organization safely, as candidate solutions toward fulfilling AIMM’s strategy.

AIMM is currently a member-managed Texas nonprofit corporation with one legal Member. As AIMM grows, the plan is to identify people trustworthy enough to become directors and transition to a director-led board — at which point these same four rings keep operating unchanged; only who legally holds Leadership and Voting Rights changes.

Tax and donation status. AIMM has not yet received federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and is not currently soliciting or accepting monetary donations. This page will be updated if either changes.
